Become A Member

Membership is free and open to anyone over the age of 18 with a lived experience of mental illness. If you or someone you know is interested in joining our Clubhouse community and becoming a member, the first step is to come and check us out. Anyone visiting the Clubhouse for the first time is offered a guided tour by one of the Clubhouse members. This is an opportunity to have a look around and get a sense of the spaces in the Clubhouse, what we do, and whether it is something you feel you would like to be part of. Please give us a call on (07) 4081 4640 so we can arrange a suitable time for you to come in for a tour.

If you decide you would like to become a member of the Clubhouse, we will sit down and get some basic details from you to enable your sign up as a member. We will also spend time to take you through some important information including your rights and the opportunities available to you in the Clubhouse including group, social and day-to-day activities. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the Clubhouse.

If you have any questions about becoming part of our Clubhouse community, please don’t hesitate to give us a call on (07) 4081 4640

Member Benefits

At The Junction Clubhouse, people with lived experience of mental illness are welcomed into a safe, inclusive, and non-clinical environment where recovery is supported through connection, purpose, and opportunity. The Clubhouse model is built around meaningful activities, offering members the chance to participate in daily operations, develop valuable skills, and take part in decision-making. This approach helps build capacity, confidence, and a stronger sense of independence for each person involved.

As a member, you have four fundamental rights:
• The right to a place to come
• The right to a place to return
• The right to meaningful relationships
• The right to meaningful work

These rights reflect the heart of what we do. At The Junction, we work alongside members, not for them because recovery is built through mutual respect, shared purpose, and community. The Junction is not just a service it’s a place to belong, contribute, and recover together.
