Programs

We provide a support system for people over the age of 18 living with mental illness to improve their mental health recovery through connecting with others in a safe and non-clinical environment. Find out how we can work together and the programs available to support your recovery journey.

Work Order Day

The daily activity in the Clubhouse centres around a structured system known as the work-ordered day. Members and staff work side by side and share responsibility to carry out the work that is important to the day to day running of the Clubhouse. This provides opportunities for members to build skills, capacity, self-esteem and confidence. It also supports members to prepare for other education and employment activities in the community.

Outreach

Part of the daily activity in the Clubhouse involves keeping in contact with all active members. When a member does not attend the Clubhouse or is in the hospital an outreach phone call or visit is made. Each member is reminded that he or she is missed, and welcome and needed at the Clubhouse. This not only encourages members to participate, but it is also an early warning system for members who are experiencing difficulties and may need extra help.

Social Program Calendar

Clubhouse members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of group based and social activities throughout the year including on weekends and Public Holidays. This supports members to build social connections, develop friendships and explore their community. View our social media pages for all the latest social programs.

Individual Plans

Staff work with members to develop their individual goals and identify opportunities within the Clubhouse and the community for working toward achieving these. Goals may relate to daily living, health & wellbeing, social connection, education, employment, as determined by the individual member.

Community Support

Community Support is offered to assist members in overcoming barriers to living independently in the community. Members and staff provide support and assistance for members to link with, navigate and access a range of services in the community, specific to their needs. These can include accommodation & housing, mental health & general medical, dental, government assistance & support, and advocacy & legal services.

Education, Training & Employment

The Clubhouse supports members to access both in-house and community-based training and education opportunities, assisting them to pursue their individual educational goals. Support is also provided to assist members to identify opportunities for career development and employment.
